From research laboratory to blooming business

Case summary
In light of the requirement for a website builder that offers design flexibility, yet remains high-performing and easily maintainable, we built the website using Webflow.

Traitomic needed design flexibility, but the site also had to perform well and be easy to maintain. Webflow, a visual development platform, gave them both. Kvalifik proposed building the site in Webflow, and the new Traitomic website went live after just one week of development.
Kvalifik built the Traitomic website in less than a month with a short, focused process. It started with a workshop and three initial design directions. A two-week redesign sprint ended with a high-fidelity prototype and a video for the landing page. Then came one week of development in Webflow before the site went live.
Traitomic replaced its WordPress site with a complete redesign built in Webflow. The first plan was a round of small fixes, but after the first design review the team decided to go further. The new site explains the benefits of Traitomic’s technology more clearly, builds trust, and uses video and animation to make a complex topic easier to follow.
Traitomic’s technology for developing new traits in plants and microbes is complex, and the website had to make its benefits easy to grasp. Video and animation simplify the topic and deliver a clear, convincing message. Kvalifik made a video for the landing page as part of the two-week redesign sprint, alongside a high-fidelity prototype.
Traitomic is a spin-off from Carlsberg Research Laboratory, on a mission to solve the world’s growing food challenges with a novel process for developing new traits in plants and microbes.
They came to Kvalifik needing a new website that reflected their mission, values, and expertise. They wanted design flexibility without giving up performance or easy maintenance, so we built the site in Webflow.
Traitomic got a modern website that builds trust and comes across as professional. It simplifies a complex topic and uses video and animation to deliver a clear, convincing message.
The site was designed and developed in less than a month.
Traitomic came to us with a WordPress site that needed better design and clearer communication. The benefits of their advanced technology had to come across more clearly and effectively.
And they needed the new site in less than a month. Carlsberg was about to announce Traitomic as a new spin-off company, and the website had to be ready in time.
Traitomic’s first plan was a round of small fixes, so the site would be in good shape for their launch as an independent business. After the first design review, they decided to go further and commit to a complete redesign.
The process began with a workshop, where we explored the scope, needs, and wishes for the website. Based on those conversations and a review of the old site, we listed everything that needed to change and presented three initial design directions.
Our design team developed the chosen direction and wrapped up the two-week redesign sprint with a high-fidelity prototype and a video for the landing page.
We proposed building the site in Webflow, a visual development platform. After just one week of development, the new website was live.
